The Frogs, a laugh-a-minute musical comedy by Aristophanes, freely adapted by Burt Shevelove and Nathan Lane with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, comes to Southwark Playhouse Borough from 23 May to 28 June 2025. Directed by Georgie Rankcom and starring Grammy-nominated actor Kevin McHale in his UK stage debut as Xanthias, the show hilariously explores whether art can save civilization. Featuring memorable songs, sharp humor, and a toad-ally unforgettable journey, this production reimagines an ancient tale with modern relevance.
