Wilko: Love and Death and Rock and Roll is a biographic play with live music, celebrating the extraordinary life of rock ‘n’ roll pioneer and Dr Feelgood co-founder, Wilko Johnson. Told through his own words and music, the play brings to life Johnson’s remarkable journey from rock stardom to surviving a terminal diagnosis, all while paying tribute to his contributions to the music scene and punk movement.
After a successful run at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch, this production comes to London’s Southwark Playhouse Borough, featuring new scenes and music from Johnson’s catalog. With live performances and storytelling, it’s a heartfelt tribute to a life lived to the fullest.
